Superintendent's Message: November 22
Dear Juab School District Community,
As we celebrate this season of giving thanks, I want to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude to you, the parents, students, staff and supporters of our great district. In the spring of 2020, we changed the learning environments and worked through a tough year of uncertainty. However, I was confident about one thing: the Juab School District community would continue caring for our most precious asset, our children. Here we are, 18 months later, and we are still facing uncertainties. Regardless of a pandemic or what we are faced with, our communities continue to lean in and do whatever it takes to keep education, activities, and programs happening for kids.
This fall, I have had the opportunity to visit with patrons, parents, and staff members and appreciate the values we share here in our great community. I have been able to listen to students talk about their academics and evaluate their learning. I have witnessed students' excitement engaging in athletic competitions and the arts. Our JuabSD students are so fortunate and have various opportunities to unlock their capabilities and talents. To the teachers and staff who make this possible, thank you!
I am also mindful and appreciative of parents and family members who support and help make learning and participation a priority. You are the key to student success; as you stand behind your students they continue to excel and accomplish extraordinary gains.
Most importantly, I am proud of our great students. I am honored to work each day for Juab School District. I am proud to advocate for learning opportunities and represent our work in education. I am forever grateful for how we as a district and community have faced hard times and continue moving forward. I look forward to positive days ahead.
Thank you all for your continuing efforts during these challenging times. Happy Thanksgiving to the entire JuabSD Community! Please stay safe.
Sincerely,
Dr. Hughes
